Walmart recently announced that it would offer streaming video rentals through its website. The company partnered with the video-on-demand service VUDU in February of 2010, that will provide access to thousands of titles, including new releases. Amazon reported its second-quarter earnings and despite a drop of 7.7%, the online retailer increased its net sales by 51%.
