Election Bots Out in Force

Social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok are all over the news today. Facebook is continuing to implode and is about to lay off a lot of staff. I've been writing about Twitter every day. TikTok, because it is owned by a Chinese company, is under intense scrutiny after admitting that its workers can see the data they collect. Continue Reading →
Welcome back to the "Elon Channel," where it's "All Elon, All The Time." Today is pink slip day – with an Elon twist, of course. If you wake up to a work email, you still have a job. If Twitter HR sends an email to your personal email address… you're fired. This is twisted. Continue Reading →
Welcome to day five of the "Elon Channel," where it's "All Elon, All The Time." After taking over as Chief Twit (his words, not mine), Elon wrote, "Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences." He followed that with, "Twitter aspires to be the most respected advertising platform in the world." On October 27, 2022 at 11:49 p.m. ET, @elonmusk tweeted, "the bird is freed." I'm wondering if he meant "fried." Elon is out about $44 billion (a substantial portion of which is his own money) and the freshly fired executive team is up approximately $88 million. It's no fun being fired, even by Elon, but the windfall of cash may ease their pain. Continue Reading →

The Tesla Optimus Robot

Are you excited about having your own personal Tesla Bot? Shelly Palmer speaks with Dan Bowens and Tashanea Whitlow on Fox 5's Good Day New York about Tesla's new robot and whether or not you'll be able to own one for under $20,000 (like Elon Musk says). Continue Reading →

Ghosts in the Tesla

Elon Musk showed off a prototype of a bipedal humanoid robot at Tesla AI Day. Known as the Tesla Bot or Optimus, the “rough development robot” walked around and waved its hands in the air. While admitting that developing a humanoid robot was not precisely in line with Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy, Musk said Optimus expands the Tesla mission to “making the future awesome.” Continue Reading →
