Apple released the public beta versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 yesterday, making its Apple Intelligence platform available to users enrolled in the beta program. Microsoft has launched a "multiplayer AI collaboration" feature for Copilot called Copilot Pages. The new feature allows users to collaborate in real-time by pulling responses from the Copilot chatbot into a shared page that can be edited collaboratively, enabling teams (of people and an AI partner) to simultaneously iterate on content using data, files, and web sources. Apple's latest operating system, iOS 18, is set for release today at 1:00 p.m. ET. I've spent the better part of the past four days putting OpenAI's o1 models through their paces. For those who aren't following the foundational AI model wars, last week, OpenAI released a new series of AI models called o1, which the company says is the first in a “new series of reasoning models for solving hard problems.” I wrote about it the day after it debuted.
