OpenAI Introduces ChatGPT Enterprise

When speaking about ChatGPT for business, the very first question asked is: “How do we keep our data private?” We have helped dozens of organizations build Generative AI tech stacks that prioritize data privacy and security, and OpenAI just made our jobs a lot easier.

The company has officially introduced ChatGPT Enterprise, which combines the features of GPT-4 with enterprise-level security and privacy features. The new version boasts SOC 2 compliance and encrypted interactions, and OpenAI says that “businesses maintain complete control over their data.”

ChatGPT Enterprise also offers double the operational speed, extended input processing, a suite of advanced data analysis tools, and shared chat templates. OpenAI is even throwing in some free API access credits (for those who want to create custom tools). You have to contact OpenAI’s sales department for pricing; we’ve reached out and are waiting to hear back. I’ll keep you posted.

This is where the market meets you. I expect every generative AI model with a chat client to put some kind of enterprise version on offer in the next few months.

Will the tools become commoditized and undifferentiated, or will we see a single model rule supreme? History tells us there can be only one: Amazon, eBay, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, etc. What’s the number two word processor? How about the number three search engine? Is there a fifth most awesome spreadsheet?
