Everyone is starting to stream everything. (We will start a WFH “How To” series and online “Innovation Series Workshops” next week.) I was not surprised to learn that the Actors Fund had started a daily streaming series featuring Broadway stars. (Watch Stars In The House on YouTube). I love it!
The shows are being produced daily at 2pm and 8pm. Each star will sing a mix of their hit songs and do other fun stuff. I watched Kelli O’Hara’s performance (sitting at her desk, singing like there were a million people in the audience). Like I said, I love it! You will, too.
The mini-Broadway show series is being produced by the Actors Fund, a national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan. The Fund serves everyone in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio, and dance, with programs including social services and emergency financial assistance, health care and insurance counseling, housing, and secondary employment and training services. Kudos to the Actors Fund for this beautiful silver lining to a very dark cloud.
