Shelly Palmer Radio Report – June 11, 2013

Another week, another new Samsung Galaxy smartphone unveiled. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is a waterproof version of the most powerful phone on the market. Designed for people who can’t get enough of the great outdoors, the Active is dust-proof and can be submerged in water up to about three feet for as long as half an hour. Want to document this weekend’s rafting trip or just get some pictures of the kids in the swimming pool? The Active’s 8MP camera features an ‘Aqua Mode,’ which helps you take awesome underwater pictures. Unlike the mid-level Galaxy S4 Mini, the Active packs the same high-end quad-core processor as the full-fledged S4, as well as the all of the same software features – like air gestures and Smart Pause – that makes the S4 stand out from the rest of the smartphone crowd. No pricing or availability has been announced yet, but if you love the outdoors, you’re going to want to keep the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active on your radar.
