Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales offer many deep discounts on electronics, but buyer beware! First, many sites sell refurbished or b-stock at a deep discount – a big money saver, but do you want to give an open-box special as a gift?  Research model and SKU numbers to make sure you’re not being offered an outdated item. Next, look out for outrageous shipping and handling charges. Many sites hide these charges until you are in the final stages of checking out. Excessive shipping and handling charges are a very common way to get you to pay full price without realizing it. And finally, make sure whatever you buy online has a United States Warranty.  Many sites sell gray market goods – which are new, perfect units made to be sold in other countries.  Often, manufacturers will not honor gray market warrantees here in the US.
