Microsoft announced that its Xbox 360 accessory, the Kinect, has sold 10 million units. The motion-sensing controller set the Guinness World Record for consumer electronics sales in a 60-day period, surpassing Apple’s products. 8 million of the 10 million Kinect’s sold were purchased during last year’s holiday season. In other news, a recent report states that the tablet PC market could be reaching a bubble risk. Manufacturers are overproducing to try and lower the products’ cost, but suffer low demand. Apple is able to dominate the market by lowering its cost through long-term mass-quantity purchases of hardware. And finally, a new website called Fandor.com just launched and hopes to be the Netflix of independent movies. For $10 a month you can view its library of nearly 2,500 films that are hand curated based on critical acclaim. If you’re film is selected, they will even share the profits.
