Kids Consume 10:45 min of media per day!

Today’s most interesting stories in technology, media and entertainment:
The Kaiser Family Foundation has a new study that tells us what we already know, kids between the ages of 8-18 consume massive quantities of digital media and barely any print at all. They are packing 10 hours 45 minutes in each day. That’s a two-hour increase over five years ago. Yikes!

And it looks like Apple is going to help them spend even more time online. The iPhone OS 4 developers kit seems to have everything needed to make iPhones work for video chatting. And, yes the front-facing camera rumor mill is buzzing like crazy. Is a new iPhone coming? And, will it have one or two cameras?

In other social media news, Twitter acquired Tweetie, the popular third party Twitter app for iPhone and the Mac OS. Tweetie is now going become the official Twitter app for iPhone and it’s going to be free.
