Watch Shelly’s commentary on AMAZON’s (NASD: AMZN) boost in revenue and how the numbers don’t exactly reflect the company’s performance.

MICROSOFT (NASD: MSFT) is expanding its search ads deal with FACEBOOK. Under the new deal, Microsoft will provide web search and search ads, as well as display ads, which it currently runs on the social network. With a deal for YAHOO (NASD: YHOO) once again on the back burner, the expanded search deal with Facebook fills the need of increasing Microsoft’s web presence.

FACEBOOK announced Facebook Connect, a new way to integrate third party sites into Facebook. The new feature will allow users to log into other web sites using their Facebook ID, rather than creating new identities. Facebook Connect comes on the heels of a site wide redesign.

MICROSOFT (NASD: MSFT) is creating a system for developers to write and sell games for the Xbox 360. Xbox Live Community Games is a developers kit, which will allow independent developers to create new games and sell them via a digital store. Xbox Live Community Games comes a few months after Nintendo announced a similar platform for its Wii system.

SPRINT (NYSE: S) will sell almost all of its cellphone towers to TowerCo, a private equity firm. Sprint is expected to sell roughly 3,300 towers for $670 million in cash. The cash influx is much needed for the struggling wireless provider, which has nearly $24 billion in debt.
