ABC will make its most popular programs available on-demand via Sprint Nextel phones. Shows such as Lost and Desperate Housewives will be available one day after broadcast.

AOL acquired Third Screen Media, a mobile advertising network. The acquisition will allow AOL to sell banner ads for mobile web pages and text message advertising.

NBC will launch MyNBC in June. The social-networking site will allow fans of NBC shows to post profiles and blogs, and participate in online activities related to NBC programming.

THE CONSUMER ELECTRONICS ASSOCIATION reassured the NAB that digital-to-analog convertors will be available to “every interested American.” The convertors will be necessary for analog TV sets when analog broadcasts cease in February 2009.
