Internet monitoring company Pingdom analyzed data from numerous sources to figure out how users spent their time online in 2010. 1.97 billion worldwide users sent over 107 trillion messages, 360 billion items on Facebook and watched over 730 billion videos on Youtube. Engadget.com reports that reliable sources have given them previously unknown information about the iPad 2. It will have a higher-resolution screen, front and rear-facing cameras and an SD card slot. Google’s Android operating system is now the leading OS on Millenial Media’s mobile ad network. 46% of ad impressions were made on Android phones, with Apple’s iOS trailing at 32%. IBM’s supercomputer Watson bested former champions in a practice round of Jeopardy. In development for four years, Watson can recognize human speech, evaluate a question and look through 200 million pages of content for an answer in three seconds.
