Kargo announced the general availability of Karlo, a self-serve media-buying platform aimed at smaller advertising teams and businesses. Kargo describes it as an agentic tool that will help set up, run, and adjust advertising campaigns. At launch, Karlo supports video advertising on connected TV and the open web. Social is scheduled for later in 2026; display advertising and other formats are planned for future releases.
Advertisers can begin with existing marketing or briefing documents, or use natural-language prompts to define campaign goals and audiences. Karlo can handle campaign setup, spending pace, and optimization, with advertisers retaining final control. Kargo says the system evaluates creative performance along with targeting and bidding, then adjusts campaigns while they run. Its two named components are Creative Science, based on Kargo’s cross-platform performance data, and Media Intelligence, which combines audience data with contextual signals. Those signals inform ad placement based on the content people engage with. Campaign reporting is consolidated in one system, and the site says performance updates are available in real time.
Karlo’s launch reflects a broader shift in the media buying process. These goal-seeking agentic tools are likely to evolve quickly. In the meantime, SMBs and smaller agencies just got a new tool to test.
