Only one person on the call needs to be a T-Mobile subscriber. Beta registration opened yesterday for postpaid members, with access rolling out this spring.
Translation devices and apps are nothing new. Google, Apple, and Samsung all have them. T-Mo did something different. It created an intelligence layer that uses the network itself as the delivery platform. The company calls it an “agentic AI platform built directly into a wireless network.” It says calls are not routed to external data centers for processing, and no new edge hardware has been installed at cell towers.
