CES 2026 Day 0

Greetings from Las Vegas. CES® 2026 really starts today. There are some big keynotes, a zillion press conferences, and more cocktail parties and dinners than you can possibly attend. I’ve made a list of the things that I’m “Looking Forward to CES 2026.”

As I was walking the floor (preparing for the Executive Briefings & Floor Tours I’ll be leading for our clients this week), I got to see several new Micro RGB TV sets. The perennial storyline about TVs at CES is that every year they get thinner, bigger, brighter, with better color and contrast. It has been true since the advent of flat panels. It’s true this year as well. When it comes to video displays, I’m both jaded and cynical, but Micro RGB is really something to see.

CES 2026 is going to be AI everywhere, all at once. While we are all going to be talking about robots that can fold laundry and refrigerators that can shop for us, the bigger story is AI’s transition from bolted-on features to infrastructure.
