New Hope for Copilot Haters

Claude and Microsoft

Microsoft 365 users frustrated with Copilot have a new option. Anthropic is integrating Claude into Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.

When connected by your enterprise administrator, Claude can now search, summarize, and analyze corporate content directly from Microsoft 365 without manual uploads. It can pull from Word documents, Outlook email threads, and Teams conversations, then deliver contextual answers inside the chat interface. The integration is available now for Claude Team and Enterprise plans.

Anthropic also launched Enterprise Search, which lets Claude query data across multiple business platforms such as HR systems, internal knowledge bases, and communications apps. The goal is to make it easier for employees to find answers buried in company data scattered across drives and services.

Microsoft appears to be diversifying its AI stack by using Anthropic’s models to improve its own AI products, including Copilot Researcher, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, and a new Office Agent that generates Word and PowerPoint documents from chat.
