Microsoft plans to hold a special event next month celebrating Windows 8’s launch. The company told sent out an invite to a Windows 8 celebration for October 25 in New York City. Microsoft didn’t offer up any details on the announcement, including exactly where it’ll be held or the time. The company also didn’t say what it’ll discuss. Microsoft’s decision to hold the celebration on October 25 is no coincidence. The company has already announced that it’ll launch Windows 8 commercially on October 26.
