Microsoft Windows 8, the new operating system slated to launch October 26, isn’t just bringing in a new, tile-like, touch-friendly interface. It’s also ushering in a slew of new hardware styles and features, as PC-makers look to woo consumers and jump-start sales, which, except for Mac, have slowed considerably the past few years.
