Supersite for Windows is reporting that Microsoft has confirmed that the Surface is due to start shipping on October 26th, alongside Windows 8. Supersite for Windows reveals that a Microsoft filing with the US Security and Exchange quietly reveals that the tablet will start shipping to customers on October 26th.That’s the same day as Windows 8 is set to land, as we reported earlier in July. According to Supersite, the filing reads: “The next version of our operating system, Windows 8, will be generally available on October 26, 2012… At that time, we will begin selling the Surface, a series of Microsoft-designed and manufactured hardware devices.” Read the full story at Gizmodo.
