Facebook has begun rolling out a major redesign to users’ profile pages called Timeline. The new format displays your wall posts and status updates as a giant collage, separating the events by month and year. For better or worse, the new look will let you take a scroll down memory lane. In other news, smartphones are everywhere, but just how popular are they? A report by Nielsen found that 44% of all U.S. cellphones are smartphones, up from 18% just two years ago. Not surprisingly, Apple’s iPhone 4 is still the best selling smartphone on the market. And finally, Amazon announced that the Kindle Fire has been the company’s bestselling product since it was available for purchase nearly 3 months ago. Amazon’s entire line of Kindle devices is flying off the shelves, selling over 1 million units a week.
