Apple’s iOS Barely Largest Market Share

A recent Nielsen report says that Apple’s iOS has the biggest US market share despite the growing popularity of Android handsets. With iOS occupying 28.6% of the market, the advantage is only a few points ahead of its competitors Google and RIM. While Apple currently has the lead, 40% of those who bought a smartphone in the past 6 months chose Android.
