Man Goes to Jail After Sending Friend Request on Facebook
A Florida man was sent to jail after sending a friend request on Facebook. Harry Bruder violated a restraining order filed by his estranged wife, Carole, after attempting to contact her twice on Facebook. Mr. Bruder didn’t think that social networking constituted as “contact,” which he was barred from having with his wife.

Craigslist Helps Police Arrest Sex Offenders
Craigslist helped police in Lakeland, Florida nab 15 men in a sex sting operation. Authorities used Craigslist to pose as parents of girls 8 to 14 and placed ads on the site reading, “looking for men to teach children…how to have sex.” The men ranged in age from 18 to 67 years old, and included a local Little League coach and karate instructor.

Computers Bad For Your Health?
According to the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, 90 percent of people who spend three or more hours a day in front of a computer are likely to suffer from Computer-Vision Syndrome (CVS). Symptoms of CVS include headaches, fatigue, blurred vision and neck pain. Most vision prescriptions treat near or farsightedness, and ophthalmologists are struggling to adjust prescriptions for the middle distance, which is where people usually view their computer monitors.

Barnes & Noble Releases Nook App for iPhone
Barnes & Noble released their Nook e-reading app for the iPhone. The app features customizable color themes, screen displays for reading both day and night, and the ability to lend e-books to friends. B&N has also updated their iPad app, which now lets users rate e-books directly from the app.

Barney’s Goes 3D
CTN DIGITAL has created a 25,600 pixel mural treatment for the 3D anaglyph Barney’s Denim Delight, an online campaign-based LOOKBOOK, that is both available in PageBlend for PC and HDTV, and on the iPad. For the iPad implementation, CTN and Barney’s decided to “go for it” and in a BIG way.
