Amazon’s New Big Screen Kindle: Amazon dropped the price of its Kindle DX and updated the popular eReader. Dubbed the Pearl, it features better contrast on an updated E-Ink screen. While the Kindle DX is a high quality eReader, the $379 price tag really forces users to choose between a it and an iPad, consumers will vote with their checkbooks.
HP Readies Palm-based Products: HP’s purchase of Palm has been finalized, which means new HP webOS-based devices aren’t far off. Expect new phones and tablet devices using Palm’s highly praised mobile operating system. Pundits are saying that, with this acquisition, HP is likely to adopt an Apple-like strategy and try to control both the hardware and software.
PayPal’s New Mobile Express: As if PayPal wasn’t easy enough to use, the company just made it even easier, by launching Mobile Express Checkout. The mobile payment market has being growing steadily over the past two years and PayPal is ready to grow with it.
