Fisher Price Releases iPhone Apps for Kids

Today’s most interesting stories in technology, media and entertainment:

Fisher Price just released a series of iPhone apps for infants. The series, which features games like See’n Say, Little People Farm and Chatter Telephone, is aimed at a the two-to-five year old market. The toy maker also released a new Facebook app that will let parents upload their children’s art to Facebook.

Apple is developing a social networking app specifically for iPhone users. Under the working name iGroup, the app will specialize in connecting users through “virtual GPS” technology. iGroups will allow iPhone users to connect and exchange various pieces of information in a secure, private network.

As part of its national broadband agenda, the FCC wants to create a digital video archive. Video.gov would make an endless collection of government videos available to citizens online. The FCC hopes that Congress will fund the project, which it believes “could revolutionize how we access our own history.”
