In the wake of the recent Chinese cyber attack, reports are coming out that a loop hole in Internet Explorer may have aided hackers attacks. Researching the attack, Google noted that “Internet Explorer was one of the vectors,” noting that users running IE and Windows 7, Vista and XP are all vulnerable. The attack highlights holes in the browser and operating systems, which, if users click a specific link, would allow hackers to take over a computer. Microsoft is currently working on troubleshooting the bug, however, it is unknown when a patch will be released.
With speculation on high, Apple has reportedly confirmed the existence of the new tablet. The indirect confirmation came in the form of a letter from Apple’s lawyers to Valleywag, Gawker’s tech site, which offered a bounty of $50,000 for video of Steve Jobs holding the elusive tablet. Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe’s response noted “an unannounced and highly confidential Apple product,” to which Valleywag responded by simply telling scavenger hunters to submit their information anonymously.
It’s official.Jay Leno will once again be the host of the Tonight Show at 11:35. NBC struck a deal with Leno yesterday afternoon, renegotiating his contract for the Jay Leno Show and re-establishing Jay as host of the famed late night show. While Conan O’Brien is still out in the dark, NBC will replace Leno’s 10 pm show with episodes of Jerry Seinfeld’s new show, Law & Order and other dramas.
