Web surfers went wild yesterday for Cyber Monday, spending more than 11% year over year. Last year, consumers spent more than $800 million on Cyber Monday, rivaling Black Friday for the largest retail day of the year. This years Cyber Monday provided thousands of deals for shoppers and proves that shopping online can be as affordable and as effective as braving the Black Friday madness.

While the CrunchPad is dead and the Nook is suffering from even more delays, Amazon’s Kindle is winning over new users everyday. Amazon announced that the eReader recorded record breaking sales for the month of November. The popular eReader, which as of now dominates the market place, is the only eReader still currently available for arrival before Christmas.

A new study says that approximately 46% of American households own at least one HDTV. According to Leichtman Research Group 14 percent of those households who own HDTV sets don’t hook them up correctly and don’t know they’re not watching their content in HD.  If you’re buying a new set for the holidays, make sure you call your cable company and get an HD cable box.
