NFT collectibles platform NFL All Day is now open to the public. The platform is the work of Dapper Labs, the nice folks who bring you NBA Top Shot and UFC Strike.
NFL All Day, which has been in closed beta since December ’21, offers officially-licensed NFL collectibles that include video highlights tokenized on the FLOW blockchain and sold in a Dapper Labs marketplace.
According to CryptoSlam!, Dapper’s NBA Top Shot has generated more than $1 billion worth of secondary trading volume. Clearly, the NFL believes that lightning will strike twice. I’m sure they are right.
Dapper’s senior VP of marketing (and also a former NFL VP) Dave Feldman explains why: “I think some of the pitfalls of what’s been going on in the Web3 world has been just short-term, lack-of-utility projects,” he said. “We’re focused on the long term and enriching fan experiences as a whole.”
That’s the right focus. Dapper has a history of executional excellence. I’m excited to see how it goes.
