CES 2014 Self-Guided Tour Exhibitor: Belkin

Belkin

BelkinNo matter what you’re looking for in the tech world, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to find it in Belkin’s product listing. Take a look around the booth – you’ll see what I mean! One of Belkin’s coolest series of products is its “app-enabled devices,” like the WeMo switch, an adapter for an electric outlet that uses your home Wi-Fi network and lets you turn electronic devices on or off from anywhere. Belkin recently made the WeMo even better, though, when it unveiled the WeMo Insight Switch: a Wi-Fi enabled compact plug that also lets you put your devices on a schedule and receive notifications any time a connected unit is turned on or off. Want to know how long your kid’s been watching TV while you left him home alone? Want to get an alert when the washing machine is done? Belkin makes that possible through the WeMo Insight Switch, which connects to your Wi-Fi network and is controlled through a free companion WeMo app.  Belkin also makes great accessories for your phone. Phone accessory makers are a dime a dozen, and you’ve probably seen at least fifty today at CES. Belkin stands out from the crowd, though, because it makes a ton of other stuff that few, if any, other companies have even tried to make.  One of the more creative accessories to recently come out of the Belkin labs is the LEGO Builder Case Family. Who says phone cases can only protect your phone? Not Belkin! Check out this line of LEGO cases, which fit the iPad mini, iPhone 5 and 5s and iPod, and double as a workspace for aspiring engineers. Slap some wheels on the bottom of your device, give it a customizable face, or just turn it into a mobile home for your favorite LEGO figures. These descriptions don’t even begin to cover what Belkin offers: networking gadgets, computer accessories, surge protectors, mobile TV accessories and more. Do yourself a favor and check out Belkin’s catalog. You might just discover something you needed that you didn’t even know existed.
