Brace yourselves folks, it looks like Samsung is preparing a barrage of “Lite” variants of existing devices for the unsuspecting mobile market come next year. Our insider recently revealed the existence of the Galaxy Note 3 Lite and Galaxy Grand Lite, and now we’ve received information that there’s a Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (SM-T11) in the works as well, scheduled to launch sometime around the second week of January. There’s currently no info available on the specs of the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, but it will carry a price tag of around 100 Euros and will be the cheapest tablet Samsung has ever made – this is enough to reconfirm the reports that have pegged Samsung as planning on focusing on the low-end and tablet market, and the company will likely position the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, Galaxy Grand Lite, and possibly other such devices in the low-end bracket, perhaps to compete with the onslaught of cheap-yet-respectably-spec’d devices made by Chinese manufacturers.
