Report: Apple’s iPhone 6 May Launch in May

iPhone 5sAs improbable as it might seem, we might be getting a new iPhone much sooner than we’d expected in 2014. Digitimes‘ supply chain sources claim that Apple is “rumored to be planning a larger size iPhone for May 2014, using a 20nm processor manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company.” While Digitimes doesn’t give any more details about the next-generation iPhone’s specifications, multiple reports suggest that the device will feature a display in the 5-inch neighborhood, which is still bigger than the current iPhone but not quite as huge as phablets such as the Galaxy Note 3. Releasing a device with a larger display is an interesting move for Apple because it will be a rare instance where the company will be following rival Samsung, which first sparked the phablet craze back in 2012 with its original Galaxy Note.
