Resale site Gazelle revealed on Wednesday that Tuesday’s iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display announcement drove the biggest iPad day for its business to date. In other words, Apple users are getting ready to buy the new iPads by getting rid of their old devices. In fact, Gazelle says the day’s announcements also simultaneously resulted in Gazelle’s largest computer day ever. That shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, given that most people don’t organize around one day to sell their various desktops, laptops, and tablets from different manufactures. What is interesting, however, is the iPad specific data: Gazelle’s iPad offers nearly doubled those made on the day of last year’s Fall iPad announcement. 66 percent of iPad trades made yesterday were for iPads that Apple debuted in 2012. Unsurprisingly, every type of iPad is on sale.
