Google is introducing the ability to control what its Chrome browser will show with a new feature called supervised users. Like Windows Phone 8’s Kid’s Corner, the feature’s aimed at families, and allows the owner of a device to block websites and set permissions in Chrome that determine the parts of the internet other users will be able to access. Supervised user settings are configured on Chrome’s Manage page. There’s space for multiple supervised users, and in addition to allowing you to restrict access to certain sites, there’s an option to lock Google’s image SafeSearch in place. The feature will be open to people using Chrome beta on Chrome OS, Windows, Mac, and Linux, and will be rolling out this week.
