XboxFollowing a report that said Microsoft will bring gaming titles from the PC and Xbox platforms to Apple’s iPhone through a partnership with the Japanese gaming firm Klab, the software giant has spoken up to clarify that only the “Age of Empires” franchise will be developed into a mobile version. Microsoft said Klab has inked a licensing agreement with it to come up with the mobile version of Age of Empires, which will be initially developed in English for iOS and Android and launched globally, though no specific timeline was mentioned. There are plans to release the game in other languages and on the Windows phone in the future, Microsoft also said. The company also clarified that media reports included “incorrect” information about other Xbox Live-based games on iOS and Android. It said that “there are no further announcements beyond Age of Empires at this time”.
