With just under two weeks to go during Google’s Fiber “rally” in Kansas City, only about 50% of Kansas City, MO and Kansas City, KS neighborhoods have reached their pre-registration goals to get access to the company’s new gigabit Internet connection and TV service. On the Kansas side of the city, the majority of “fiberhoods” are still quite a few sign-ups away from reaching their goals and only 33 out of 74 neighborhoods have passed Google’s threshold so far. Things are looking better in Missouri, where 67 out of 128 neighborhoods have reached Google’s goal. Read the full story at Tech Crunch.
