Google’s latest operating system, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, is now running on more than 10 percent of Android devices. According to stats posted on Monday, Android 4.0+ is available on 10.9 percent of Android-based devices, up from 7.1 percent last month. Android Gingerbread, however, is still kicking, with the mobile OS present on 64 percent of Android-based devices. That’s down slightly from last month’s 65 percent and the 64.4 percent it captured in May. Gingerbread was followed by Froyo, which had 17.3 percent of the market by the end of June, followed by Android 2.1 Eclair with 4.7 percent, and the tablet-centric Android 3.0+ Honeycomb at 2.4 percent.
