As you know, China is not only the most populous country in the world, its economy is growing very fast. Statistical experts say that by 2050 China will have a larger population of English speakers than we do here in the United States.  I’m told that, right now, there are more “honors students” in China than there are “students” in the United States, and, mobile analytics company Flurry Inc says, that this past February, China surpassed the United States in smartphone activations. This is great news for Apple and really great news for Android smartphone manufacturers. Flurry says that “Not only is China already the second largest app economy, but also could eventually overtake the U.S. as the country with the largest installed base of smart device users.”  Why do you care?  Well, smartphone activations are a very good indicator of how fast China’s middle class is growing.  It also tells us that ordinary people in China are getting connected.
