Google’s street view cars covered over 44,000 km of road in Japan, documenting the damage the country sustained from the tsunami earlier this year. You can view the before and after pictures, some of which show heartbreaking images of destruction, by visiting the website called “Build the Memory.” You can read more about the project at Google’s blog
