Nielsen: Social Networks Occupy 23% of Internet Use

According to a Nielsen report, Americans spend 23% of their time online using social networks. Nielsen found that the staggering adoption rate of social networking is being bolstered by easy mobile access. 60% of all apps downloaded give users access to social networking, with its usage up 30% since the third quarter of last year.
