Intel is investing $300 million dollars into a fund to help companies develop “Ultrabook” computers that are by all means direct competitors to Apple’s Macbook Air. Intel wants these invisible if held sideways, faster than your desktop computers, to replace 40% of the laptop market by the end of next year. So if you’ve been eyeing up a Macbook Air, give it some time and you may find yourself some competitive choices at cheaper prices in the near future. Read the full article at arstechnica.com
