Arstechnica.com reports that WikiLeaks cables reveal that the United States has been pressuring Canada to strengthen its copyright laws. The cable suggests that Canada be put on the Special 301 Priority Watch List due to its “weak” prosecution of intellectual property laws. Canadian officials responded to the inquiries, promising to pass stronger laws, but no further action has been taken on either side. Read the full article at arstechnica.com
