Amazon’s cloud hosting service recently experienced errors that took down several big websites including Foursquare and Reddit. Amazon is among the leaders in cloud-based hosting, leading a cloud market worth $68.3 billion in 2010.  The outage is making companies realize the need for a backup plan when the cloud fails.
