Regis Philbin, who may hold the record for the person who has spent the most time in front of a television camera, will retire from his daily show, Live with Regis & Kelly this summer. He made the announcement this morning at the opening of the show. On a personal note, I composed and produced the theme for the show when it was co-hosted by Kathy Lee and reworked it when Kelly arrived. Regis is a consummate professional and truly one of the nicest people I know in the business. He can be copied, but never duplicated!
