The Obama administration is granting the U.S. Commerce Department authority to create an Internet ID program. You won’t be receiving national ID cards linking you to an online identity, but “perhaps eliminating the need to memorize a dozen passwords,” said Commerce Secretary Gary Locke. Who should be responsible for our cyber identity?
