BlackBerry maker Research in Motion will release its tablet computer, the “PlayBook,” in the first quarter of 2011. In hopes of competing with Apple‘s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, the RIM device will be priced under $500. RIM has not confirmed the exact price or announced where the 7-inch tablet will be sold.
