Details of the proceedings will remain shrouded in secrecy — bidders that submitted applications for yesterday’s 6 PM deadline are now barred from discussing the auction.
THE FCC is under an investigation led by John Dingell, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Dingell believes Kevin Martin has been “short-circuiting procedural norms” and that there is an overall “breakdown at the agency.” The probe will focus on Kevin Martin’s performance and be handled by the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation.
BRAVO will offer interactive, ad-supported features during season four of Project Runway. Overlays during the show will allow viewers to answer trivia questions or vote on designers and outfits. Cox, Charter, Comcast, and Time Warner Cable have all agreed to participate in the experiment.
CBS will use DELIVERY AGENT to sell products that appear on network shows. Viewers will be able to visit SeenOn.com to purchase items from episodes of CSI, Amazing Race, Survivor and more. Delivery Agent will also offer products via Shopisode, which allows users to watch programs in a video application and instantly purchase items seen on the screen.
MYSPACE will begin selling music videos and music performance videos as part of a new program called Transmissions. The site will showcase the videos and allow users to purchase them from third-party sites without leaving MySpace.com. The service begins today with the sale of a performance by popular singer-songwriter James Blunt.
