The group called Isis, consisting of wireless providers AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile have decided to back off the creation of its own pay-by-phone infrastructure. The companies originally wanted to develop its own network to make and receive payments using your phone. Google announced that smartphones running Android OS will now be able to make and receive video calls. Calls can be made over 3G or wi-fi using the Google Talk app with the Android 2.3.4 update. Sony is finally stepping into the tablet market, recently unveiling two Android 3.0 tablets. The model codenamed S1 has a 9.4-inch screen with front and rear cameras and the S2 version has two 5.5-inch displays that fold into a clamshell. The tablets will be available worldwide in the fall.
