Facebook reached a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission that requires the site to ask for users’ consent before changing privacy settings. The FTC made a total of eight allegations towards Facebook, including making users’ private information public without their consent. In other news, Google announced that it’s taking Google Maps indoors. You can now access floor plans of select airports, malls and retailers like Macy’s, Home Depot and Ikea. More public locations will be added over time and if you want your business mapped, Google will let you submit your floor plan online. And finally, if you’re a FiOS Internet and cable subscriber, Verizon will stream live TV channels through your Xbox. Starting December 6th, if you’re an Xbox Live Gold member, you can use your console to watch 26 live channels without the need for an additional set-top box.
