Pakistan Bans “Rude” Words from Text Messaging

On Monday, a law in Pakistan will block text messages containing words deemed to be “rude.” The expletive filled list of over 1,500 words blocks every day words like  “looser,” “deeper,” and strangely, “Budweiser.” Any text messages containing a word on the list must be blocked by Pakistani telecomm providers.
