Texting While Driving Kills Thousands
There have been approximately 16,000 deaths in the U.S. from drivers who were distracted by their cell phones from 2001-2007, according to research from The University of North Texas Science Center. The rapid rise of text messaging is one of the leading causes of deaths while driving. It was also noted that a large proportion of the distracted drivers were under 30 years old.

In China Demand for iPhone 4 is Much Higher Than Supply
The iPhone 4 was just released in China but there aren’t enough phones available to satisfy the demand. Unicom, the sole carrier of the phone in China, received over 200,000 preorders the device. Apple is working quickly to provide Unicom with more units.

NBC Content Available On Netflix
NBC made an agreement with Netflix to make some of it’s content available for streaming. Netflix will have content from both NBC and it’s cable networks. Most notably all 35 seasons of “Saturday Night Live” will be available as well as episodes of “30 Rock” and “Law & Order,” and new episodes of the shows will be up on Netflix the day after they premiere.

Tech Companies Settle with Justice Department
Tech-Giants Google, Apple, Adobe, Intuit, Disney Pixar, and Intel were violating anti-trust laws by agreeing not to poach employees from one another. However, the companies have reached a settlement with the Justice Department that forbids them from continuing with their arrangement. The Justice Department worried that the agreement made among the tech companies could stifle competition among top employees and hold down wages.
