As Apple’s scheduled event nears, sources now say that not only will Apple reveal its long awaited tablet, but also a new iPhone OS. Apple is tauting the event with the slogan “come see our latest creation.” While the long rumored Apple Tablet is expected to be the highlight of the event, analysts believe a new version of iLife and the new iPhone operating system could be aligned with and compatible with new Tablet features. Apple is also reportedly in talks with HarperCollins for a deal that would distribute the publishing companies content on the Tablet.

A British man was arrested after he made a joke about blowing up an airport on Twitter. Paul Chambers angrily tweeted about the Robin Hood airport’s recent closure, noting “You’ve got a week and a bit to get your shit together, otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high!!” In our age of advanced communications and highly sensitive airport security, the incident is just another reminder that joking about harming a business, especially an airport, is a good way to wind up in the arms of the authorities.

After the recent attacks by Chinese hackers, both the French and German governments are telling residents to stop using Internet Explorer in order to keep their computers secure. While the governments are worried about increased attacks, Microsoft responded by urging users to upgrade to the latest version of the the popular browser.

Microsoft is setting its sites on Cable TV. The company is reportedly in talks with Disney, which could bring ESPN to XBox Live. While details are scant, it is expected that live streaming sports and other ESPN content could be accessible through the XBox Live service.
